Two small dogs and a hairless cat narrator re-enact the story of Luc Besson’s Lucy.
After her drug induced metamorphosis, Lucy becomes a one-woman human potential movement as her intellectual power rapidly increases and she spawns new forms of perception and agency. The performance’s staging included a darkened room blanketed by stars, a narrow beam of light that shone on the narrator when speaking, and both Lucy (Scarlett Johannsen) and the Professor (Morgan Freeman) carrying lanterns to illuminate their way.
